Zimmer Wave®

Cellulite and stretch marks are a common frustration. ZWave, which can be used alone or in conjunction with CoolSculpting® and other body contouring procedures, provides a remedy. On its own, this non-invasive treatment improves the skin’s elasticity, making it firmer over time. As a complementary procedure, it enhances the desired outcome of the primary procedure.

HOW DOES ZWAVE WORK?

The administration of radial pulse therapy to the skin stimulates the production of new collagen and increases blood circulation to the treatment area. Collagen regeneration gradually tightens and firms the skin, reducing the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite.

When used as an adjunct to CoolSculpting, ZWave breaks up the newly destroyed fat cells. The even and uniform distribution of pressure allows it to reduce irregularities more accurately than manual massage, making the treatment area appear smoother and with less variation.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT WITH ZWAVE?

Photos are taken prior to each treatment session to track results. The ZWave applicator head is moved over the treatment area while it transmits radial shockwaves directly into the tissue. As a solitary treatment, patients say it feels like a massage. When the device is used after CoolSculpting, there may be some burning or tingling since the applicator head quickly increases blood flow to an area that is numb. It feels a bit like running hot water over cold hands.

There is no downtime associated with ZWave, and patients may immediately return to all regular activities.

We suggest a series of treatments to see the improvement of cellulite and stretch marks. Results are not instantaneous – they appear gradually as collagen production increases, and periodic maintenance treatments are necessary for long-term results.
